Meet the Founder
Paige Caras has worked with countless organizations to assist them in using the tools they invest in efficiently and completely and to develop workflow with training that the employees can benefit from for years to come, not just for the moment they are needed. Paige's career began in the early 90's working with small businesses and construction agencies in the North Alabama region. She then went on to work with SouthTrust Bank's teller training program and to implement contact management and sales force automation for the bank's executives and commercial banking departments.
The late 90's brought a surge in small and medium business computing capability during which time Paige began to offer workflow and training services to small businesses in the Metro Atlanta area. In 2001, she began working with an accounting firm as part of the workflow evaluation team for developing a Document Management software application to specifically meet the needs of the accounting industry. This led to an eight year career during which time Paige was responsible for researching and creating all of the Best Practices for implementing document management in firms of all sizes. She also developed the Training Programs for both End Users at other firms and firm employees who would be consulting with and training other firms on how to implement and use the application in the most efficient manner possible. All of the Consulting and Training had to be standardized in terms of the legal requirements for an accounting firm to work in the paperless environment and also customized in terms of specific workflow creation and user capabilities for each department within a given organization. Paige's processes and training have been implemented by firms all over the United States and Canada as well as in the United Kingdom and in Australia. Her process development required specialization in some key areas for other firms such as one in Israel processing US Government Contract Tax Returns and another in the US processing returns for businesses operating in Japan. Technology has made it possible to allow Paige to create a workflow that is completely paperless and enables users to work remotely world wide if needed.
The development of the Consulting and Training created a need for flexible and complete documentation for all aspects of the paperless implementation process. Paige created a standard Best Practice Guide that followed an outline which translated to fillable Adobe forms that were used to document the Client Consulting Agenda. The forms made it easy for the consultants to work with each-others clients if needed without missing any information in terms of what had been completed during consulting and what specific workflow had been implemented. The goal was for all consultants to be able to lend a hand in training and answering questions for all clients regardless of who had been originally assigned. Finally, in development of the Training material, Paige created End User Training Manuals, End User Guides, Admin Guides, Quick-Start Guides, and Customized User Function Guides for the document management workflow and applications. Many firms had need of items such as Scan Workflow diagramming, Field Scanning instructions, Network Backup procedures, File Purge procedures, Email Management processes, etc.
Paige started PD&C to break out of the document management niche and to use her experience to benefit all types of small and medium businesses. Her workflow technique combines technology and a creative model of thinking in terms of User Need rather than just Software Capability.
